A very special Pure bred Andalusian stallion available in the UK
The normal mark for a stallion to be approved in front of the Spanish grading officer is between 70 - 75%
Levante's mark of 79% is classified as exceptional

Owned by Amanda Grinwood of the Yeguada El Valle stud, Levante has three correct paces for the breed combined with an outstanding temperament.
In 2001 Levante went forward for grading by the visiting Spanish grading commission. This is a strict inspection of stallions that has many requirements that each horse must have to go into the stud book.
The minimum pass rate of all Spanish stallions is 70%. In general, correct true-to-type horses will pass with an average mark of 70 -75%; it is said to be only a very special horse that gets higher. Levante VI marks for grading that year reached a staggering 79% - this made him the highest marked stallion in the UK of the year.
At the National Breed Show 2002, his first stock was shown and proved to be very welcome by winning:
- 1st part bred filly - Female part bred Champion – Supreme part bred Champion of show
- 1st part bred Colt – Part bred Male Champion – and Reserve Supreme part bred Champion of show
Returning to his origins with Amanda, he enjoyed riding on the Spanish soil. He has now returned to England to establish a competition career. Today Levante is competing Elementary while working Medium at home. He has an outstanding temperament and ride ability, combined with conformation and type. He offers mare owners a superb cross potential for Sport horses, and one of the very best in the UK for pure Andalusian breeders.
